The 2009/2010 season has started with a bang for the club with some very good racing for the season so far. Check out the About Us page for results of the last 3 races at Roseville and Penrith. In 2010 the club will be racing at Tacoma on the Wyong River in January, Darling Harbour in February and Penrith in March.

The membership of the Central Coast Dragon Boat Club is a diverse group of paddlers with differing needs and aims.

Men and women whose primary goal is to achieve the skills and fitness necessary to paddle competitively in sports regattas, paddle as the Central Coast Sea Dragons. The Sea Dragons also include paddlers who are less competitive but who aim at improving their fitness and enjoying the camaraderie which this sport offers.

The membership includes survivors of breast cancer who aim to improve their quality of life, fitness and personal support network through dragon boat paddling as the Coast Busters. They also aim, under the banner of the national organisation, Dragons Abreast, to increase breast cancer awareness and affirm through this activity, that their lives have not been limited by their diagnosis.

TRAINING. The Club's main training time is Sunday morning on Budgewoi Lake at Toukley, but there is also afternoon weekday training as seasonal conditions allow(click on the, Membership Page,for details).

COMPETITION. A number of Regatta's are held throughout the racing season at venues which include the Sydney International Rowing centre at Penrith, Darling Harbour and the Wyong River at Tacoma.

TROPHIES. For the 2008/2009 season the club has picked up a trophy at every Regatta so far. Yesterday the 21st of March saw the club pick up two more trophies as well as Medals for each individual in two of the Finals races. But the surprise of the day was the DBNSW board selection for CLUB of the Year. The Central Coast Dragon Boat Club won the CLUB OF THE YEAR FOR 2008/2009 SEASON WHOO HOOOO.

CLUB AWARD NIGHT 30/05/09. Last night was our awards presentation night which was held at the Beachcomber Hotel in Toukley. A DVD presentation was put together by Kim Bell which was a run down on the seasons events and a very good presentation as well.We had a 3 course meal, a band was present to supply some dancing music and the awards part of the night was a lot of fun as well.
